Despite a chilly and wet start, 21 Harriers attended the final trail run in the 2021 / 2022 season. Within half an hour, the clouds parted and the sun came out. Conditions were quite benign with no more rain or wind.
This is the first time this route has been included in the trail series. It proved to be challenging as the track was quite wet in places and a little uneven. Despite this, most of the runners enjoyed the challenge. The climb back up toward Dorrery around mile 7 was also a bit of a talking point, but that is the variety of the trail.
NHH would like to thank Angus MacKay for setting up, which included venturing out the 4.4 miles sodden track to remote Loch Caluim and planting the turning point flag. Also, thanks to Julie-Anne Leslie for timekeeping.
The results are also available by clicking here.
Thanks to all the Harriers for their attendance this season, to all the trail organisers and to Sandy and Les for the whole programme. Hopefully now that Covid is mostly over, we can get back to a more normal season next year.
Next up: the 2022 / 2023 trail season!
