09/01/11 - Dunnet Beach & Bark Trail Run
Fourth 2010/11 Winter Series trail run was based at Castlehill Heritage Centre (see www.castletownheritage.co.uk) and included a run along Dunnet beach (at high tide!) with a loop of the bridle track in Dunnet Forest. Seventeen runners participated in what were testing conditions with some of the road/track section being quite slippery, the high tide and a couple of river crossings.
Thanks to the friendly and helpful volunteers at the Heritage centre for the use of their facilities - it is always nice to have some indoor facilities at this time of year. Also, thank you to the organisers of this event Tony & Julian.
