18/12/11 - Borgie Forest Trail Run

There were sixteen runners in total for the traditional 'last trail run of the year' at Borgie Forest; with all but Joe completing the longer course. The weather had been poor overnight with sleet/snow showers; this probably put a number of nunners off attending. It also made driving to Borgie a bit tricky for those without a 4 x 4 vehicle. This led to some people starting later than they should have based on the handicap start times - consequently the handicap results are fairly meaningless.

For the second trail run in a row there was snow on the ground and it snowed during the run - but this time it was nice large flakes of snow falling vertically - very pretty and appropriate for the last trail run before Xmas.

Thank you to the organisers of this event Roz, Allan, Graeme and Colin. A special thank-you to Roz for providing some spot prizes that were awarded after the run.
