Scrabster Hill Trail Run - 08/05/10
After a bit of last minute re-arranging we finally came up a good little 6 mile run, which not only acted as the last trail run of the winter series but also good preparation for the Mey 10k the following week.
The run started at the Blue Door (Kim's Place) and was basically an out and back course up Scrabster Hill to the quarry a turn left to the trig point and back again. Good weather conditions although slightly breezy.
Post race spread (fish & chips using the Bettyhill recipe!!) was excellently provided by Kim and able assisted by her glamorous waitresses Tanya and Claire. There was even hot showers available for those who wanted to change into their evening ware - how civilised.
A good night with excellent craic was rounded off in the Comm bar with a few pints and more stories to tell.
The last trail run will now always take place at this venue and hopefully we'll be better organised to make it a bigger and better end of season bash.
