Report 2 - Week beginning 18/01/10

Have you stuck to the training programme? If not any reasons why?

I started of on week 3 and managed it no probs, by Friday I ran round the river and only stopped once. I'm hoping by next week I can run it without stopping and wanting to carry on running a bit further.

Have you done more or less than expected? Explain.

Yes, far more, running 3 days a week, gym twice a week and swimming everyday. I'm actually really enjoying it all!

How did you feel during training this week? What were the highs and lows?

I'm still feeling good, although I keep thinking ,I can't run 1 mile how on earth am I gonna run 6 miles, but I'm starting to think positive, and I will do it.

Are you seeing improvements; in speed, distance, breathing?

I am starting to see improvements in my distance, and my breathing, but as for speed I'm hoping it will eventually improve.

Where are you walking/running; gym, beach, roads, forests?

I'm running round the river, I had 1 run on the beach and it nearly killed me!

Are you training alone/with someone else/mixture? How does this affect your training?

Still training alone, but hopefully when my hubby comes home this week hell come with me and push me a bit harder. I like training alone but probably don't push myself as hard as I would if someone was with me.

Any injuries?

Not so far.

Are you feeling any benefits away from training as a result of the training; health, toning up, more energetic?

I most certainly have more energy, and have lost another 2lb, thats 5lb in 2 week and feel I am starting to tone up. I'm finding muscles in places I never knew I had them!!

Are you doing any other forms of exercise; swimming, cycling, yoga, pilates?

I'm going swimming everyday doing between 40 and 50 lengths, in the gym I'm doing 15 mins rowing, 15 mins bike and 20 mins on the cross trainer.

Any other observations?

At the moment I'm thinking I'll never run 6miles, but I'm hoping over the next few weeks that will change.
