Report 15 - Week beginning 19/04/10
Have you stuck to the training programme? If not any reasons why?
Not really.
Have you done more or less than expected? Explain.
Less. I felt a hamstring strain at the beginning of the week so I cut down on the number of runs this week and iced it to help prevent it getting worse. With just 3 weeks to go till Mey I'm taking no chances. Running will be back to normal this week though.
How did you feel during training this week? What were the highs and lows?
I felt pretty confident during the runs but didn't want to push myself too much because of the hamstring.
Highs: None really, but not in a bad way. I still enjoy running.
Lows: Again none really. I wish I could have ran more this week but I knew there was a reason for not doing so, so I wasn't really upset about it.
Are you seeing improvements; in speed, distance, breathing?
Not this week as I've not been able to push myself.
Where are you walking/running; gym, beach, roads, forests?
Roads. I think I may have overdone the up and down hills and that may have helped aggravate the Hamstring. Oops!
Are you training alone/with someone else/mixture? How does this affect your training?
Alone. Just me, the music and the open roads. How corny is that! Lol.
Still much prefer it that way, however if I know that hubby is waiting at the next mile marker for me it does kind of encourage me to push myself to show off my improvements.
Any injuries?
Just the Hamstring niggle, which isn't bad.
Are you feeling any benefits away from training as a result of the training; health, toning up, more energetic?
Hopefully weight loss but weigh in isn't till Monday so I don't know just yet.
I do have more energy and general enthusiasm.
Are you doing any other forms of exercise; swimming, cycling, yoga, pilates?
Not this week. But I'm doing loads of work outside plus I had another Bellydancing lesson and believe it or not, Bellydancing is blooming hard work.
Any other observations?
Just 3 weeks to go till Mey. Although I can't wait for it I'm kinda going to miss all this blogging and excitement to the run up.
Oh and I've managed a whole week without DairyMilk, how cool is that!
