Report 1 - Week beginning 11/01/10
Have you stuck to the training programme? If not any reasons why?
No, I started on the week 2 programme - a combination of me thinking I was able to do it and my eagerness to get going.
Have you done more or less than expected? Explain.
I managed to do the week 2 programme, which pleased me as I was unsure of what I was going to be able to do.
How did you feel during training this week? What were the highs and lows?
I felt ok and so far no highs or lows, just raw enthusiasm!
Are you seeing improvements; in speed, distance, breathing?
Minimal.
Where are you walking/running; gym, beach, roads, forests?
All gym sessions so far die to the poor weather and in my current condition, hiding in a gym seems a better option.
Are you training alone/with someone else/mixture? How does this affect your training?
On my own.
Any injuries?
Aching legs but thankfully no injuries.
Are you feeling any benefits away from training as a result of the training; health, toning up, more energetic?
Yes - sleeping much better on training days - appear knackered!
Are you doing any other forms of exercise; swimming, cycling, yoga, pilates?
I had one game of squash this week.
Any other observations?
First week in - and I now classify myself as an 'Athlete in Training' which has made me greatly reduce my intake of food and alcohol, coupled with the training regime I am struggling to find the fun part but hopefully I will shortly.
